Holiday Look Using The Kate Von D Monarch Palette

Here's a fun holiday makeup look for you using the Kat Von D Monarch Palette. This would also be perfect for wearing out if you want something a little eye-catching.
The Kat Von D Monarch Palette has a great mix of shades and the pigmentation and color payoff is amazing. The consistency of the shadows is so creamy and smooth it's unbelievable. Love this palette.

Airbrush Training Video #3 Prepping The Canvas

Airbrush Training Video #3

Prepping The Canvas

This is video #3 in the Face To Face With Violett Airbrush Training. This video goes over
how to prep the canvas. This is very important because you will have to prep differently depending on the skin type. If you prep improperly you could end up with a client that has an issue that merits a refund. Not prepping properly can cause the airbrush makeup to move, look powder/crapey or cause it to come off

Tools & Supplies Needed:

Hydrating Toner - I like Murad's Hydrating Toner. It works well for all skin types because it's made for sensitive skin. It also has hyaluronic acid in it which can hold up to 1000 times it's weight in water. We can usually get the salon size for $35 so I tend to do that since I use so much.

Lightweight, Oil-Free Moisturizer - I like the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion because it is really light and absorbs quickly. It also has an spf but it's a chemical spf so it doesn't reflect light. $35 for 1.7oz or $78 for 16.9oz.

Hydrating Eye Cream - I like the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream but for the simple fact that it's only $18. It also has hyaluronic which I previously mentioned is an amazing ingredient.

Dermonectin Eye Cream

Airbrush Primer - Use an airbrush primer with all clients. I like the Dinair Shine Free which works with most airbrush makeup. For the silicone-based airbrush makeup it is best to use the silicone-based airbrush makeup primer.

Liquid Powder - Apply underneath the airbrush makeup for some heavy-duty oil absorption. This will keep the skin matte.

Dinair No Sweat - Apply this using your airbrush to the hair line as well as under the nose and on the chin. This will prevent perspiration from breaking through the foundation.

Foundation Brush - Use this to apply the moisturizer, eye cream, primer and liquid powder. I like the Bdellium Tools Studio Line because the brushes are antibacterial.
Studio 948 Foundation

Cotton Rounds - Use these to put hydrating toner on to cleanse the skin of any dirt, oil or debris.

Mixing Palette - To put product on for a sanitary application. I like the Make Up For Ever Steel Mixing Palettes. The small ones just take up less room in my kit.
