Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner in Pistaschio #17L
This is a detailed description of my daily skin care routine as well as information on your skin and how it works. At the end of this blog, check to see what's recommended for your skin.
Daytime Routine
During the day focus on those any problems you may have with your skin whether it's oiliness, dryness, acne or aging. Also, focus on protecting it so to not get any more damage.
Step 1: Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser
Cleansing: Cleansing your face in the morning and at night is very important. It gets rid of any bacteria, oil, dirt or makeup.
Why I use this product:
During the day what I'm trying to combat is oiliness. This cleanser purify's and refines oily skin with a deep cleansing clay formula. It contains oil-absorbing water-soluble Kaolin and Green Clay.
Step 2: Multi-Active Toner
Toner: Gets rid of excess oil. Helps condition and prep skin for moisture absorption.
Why I use this product:
During the day what I'm trying to combat is oiliness. This product gets rid of the extra oil and prepares my skin for the next step.
Step 3: Oil Control Lotion
Moisturizer: Most important step! This step will keep you young. Aging is caused by loss of moisture. Keep your skin moist to stay young. Even if you have oily skin you need to do this. If you don't your skin will overcompensate for the loss of moisture and create more oil.
Why I use this product:
I always moisturize my skin so that my skin doesn't over-produce oil. Also, to combat the signs of aging. This moisturizer mattifies the skin and helps with oil control.
Step 4: Total Eye Care
Eye Cream: The skin under the eyes is a 1/4 of an inch thinner then the skin on the rest of your face. That's why you see the signs of aging there first. Treat this area with care. Never rub or scrub it. Use your ring finger to apply. This is the weakest finger so you're less likely to do damage. Since moisture loss is the main reason for the signs of aging, you need extra moisture and protection in this area.
Why I use this product:
It keeps my wrinkles from progressing and protects the skin around my eyes with an SPF.
Nighttime Routine
During the night, I focus on preventing the signs of aging and my oiliness. This is the time to give your skin it's vitamins and let it rejuvenate and heal.

This is a refreshing peptide toner, that creates a hydrating antioxidant shield. It reduces wrinkles and fine lines and helps prevent the signs of aging. It firms and rehydrates my skin.
Step 3: Dynamic Skin Recovery
Moisturizer: Most important step! This step will keep you young. Aging is caused by loss of moisture. Keep your skin moist to stay young. Even if you have oily skin you need to do this. If you don't your skin will overcompensate for the loss of moisture and create more oil.
Why I use this product:
This gives me extra hydration and helps defend against internal and external causes of skin aging. It's a medium-weight, emollient moisturizer. It contains AGE Smart(r) ingredients to enhance the skin’s natural ability to fight skin-aging free radicals (Reactive Oxygen Species), help prevent the signs of aging caused by sugar reacting with proteins in my skin (AGEs) and regulate the formation of collagen-degrading MMPs brought on by UV rays.
Step 4: Multivitamin Power Firm

Again, I focus on repair and the signs of aging at night. This is a powerful firming eye cream. It accelerates skin's natural repair process with Vitamin A (Retinol) as antioxidant vitamins C and E improve elasticity while scavenging free radicals. Silicones shield vulnerable skin, acting as a protective barrier against further assault.
Step 5: Renewal Lip Complex
Lips: Don't forget your lips! You'll see the signs of aging here too but we forget to take care of them.
Why I use this product:
I always exfoliate my lips so that I'm not just moisturizing the dead skin on my lips. Your lips can't hydrate themselves. They have no pores. This product is a smoothing, moisturizing blend of Avocado Oil and Shea and Cocoa Seed butters. A patented polypeptide restores delicate tissue, minimizes contour lines and helps prevent the signs of aging caused by Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs – a damaging by-product of sugar/protein reactions in the skin).
Every Other Day
Every other day I do treatments to help with my concerns such as oiliness. I also will do a deeeep clean to make sure that my skin is glowy, extra clean and my pores are minimized. I alternate using a masque and exfoliating to do this.
#1: Skin Refining Masque
Masque: This is a deep treatment of your skin. There's lots of different kinds of masques. Use one that's formulated to work on your trouble areas.
Why I use this product:
This product helps with my oiliness. It's a deep-cleansing clay masque that helps purify and refine oily skin. I use it all over after cleansing to help purify, lift surface impurities and wick away excess oils that can trigger congestion and enlarge pores. It's really freshing and calming and refines without over-drying. It gives me a smoother skin texture.
#2 (I alternate Masques) Sebum Clearing Masque
Masque: This is a deep treatment of your skin. There's lots of different kinds of masques. Use one that's formulated to work on your trouble areas.
Why I use this product:
I alternate a masque and exfoliater every other day. I'll switch back and forth between masques. This masque is very cooling and has oil-absorbing clays which helps clear and prevent breakouts while detoxifying skin. It also has Salicylic Acid which stimulates natural exfoliation to clear pore congestion, and cooling botanicals help purify, refine and eliminate excess oils on my skin.
#3Skin Prep Scrub
Exfoliator: An exfoliator gets rid of the dead skin cells that have crystalized on your face. These dead skin cells can make your face look dull. Exfoliating them off, makes your skin glow. An exfoliator will also get inside your pores and clean them out. Pore congestion is caused by not cleaning them out. If you don't, they fill with dirt and oil. They then stretch and expand. Then you're left with super-large pores. Ick! This will also cause your skin to renew itself. You're then left with a layer of new, baby soft skin.
Why I use this product:
I just love the way my skin feels after I exfoliate. This skin polishing scrub has finely-granulated Corn Cob Meal which gently removes dulling surface debris, allowing for improved absorption of moisturizing treatments. Skin is left with a smooth, healthy-looking finish. It's also safe to use every day.

Today's review is a new foundation out from Urban Decay called Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. It seems like nowadays every company is creating their own formulation fit to withstand today's high definition cameras and Naked foundation is no exception.
The foundation comes in a range of 18 colors from a porcelain 0.5 to a deep golden 12. Each shade ending in a ".0" runs warm or yellow-based while those ending in ".5" are cool or pink-based, so there should be a color for nearly anyone! I was personally thrilled to find this out since I seem to have difficulty finding the right pink-based foundations to match my skin.
Another great aspect of Naked Skin? The packaging is fantastic. The product comes in a long, clear plastic bottle which allows you to easily gauge how much you have left, and won’t shatter if you accidentally drop it.
The bottle has a pump, which I always look for when picking a foundation because without a pump, things can get extremely messy and you can waste product. It also comes with a cap, which prevents any accidental squirts in your makeup bag. Last but not least, like all Urban Decay products, it’s very aesthetically pleasing.
The wear of this product is amazing. It lasts all day and gives a full even coverage without weighing you down. It feels so light it's as if you're not wearing any makeup. I really think this is comparable to the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in how it covers but comparable to the Make Up For Ever Face & Body Liquid Makeup in how light it feels.
As far as the price goes, the product retails for $38. This would be considered a high-end product with a price to match. Many people say this is a con but I don't agree. I've been paying between $40 and $46 for my foundations and so to me, this product is well priced. If there's any item in your makeup bag that you should be spending more money on it's your foundation. Your foundation is going to mean the difference between flawless looking skin. The canvas is the main and most important part of your makeup look.
With so many great shades, the unique, sleek packaging, the great wear and coverage and the price, I'd give this product a 10 out of 10. If you're looking for the perfect foundation with a full coverage without the heavy feeling, check this product out. I'm very pleased and am making this my new day wear foundation.
